Wake up Ambien Americans! Families claim their spouses,children and parents are dying from Ambien. On February 10 and March 4, 2010, I appeared on two Fox News specials to discuss my knowledge of Ambien from my class action filed in 2006. I won by getting the FDA to impose the exact warnings my case demanded. I did not receive a penny for my one year crusade in that case. I got the warnings which is exactly what I wanted and what I promised the public I would get.

On the recent shows, people are still complaining about Ambien's dangers...and deaths.

 In 2006 I filed the Ambien Class Action to get worldwide attention and the FDA's attention about Ambien Zombies (a term I created). In 2007, the FDA heard me and ordered the makers of Ambien, Sanofi, to place the exact warnings I told Sanofi from the beginning they needed and Sanofi denied. Unfortunately there is still one more step needed-the warnings are not helping. I've been told by medical experts that there's something in Ambien's ingredient that hits some people so hard deep in their cerebellum that they become Ambien Zombies capable of driving cars and shooting themselves in the head at 3 in the morning.  The ingredients may have changed somewhat since 2007 as they release Ambien CR, but people still complain. 

And then we have the doctors who give out meds like candy. The doctors are hypnotized themselves when the pharmaceutical company sales girl enters their office with cleavage and chocolates to push their wonder drugs on patients forever, as long as they can generate those billions.

The little hidden secret is that Ambien is really meant for short term use. That means a few weeks, maybe a month. Yet people get it for months and years. Essentially, it is not giving people a natural night's sleep but a drug induced unnatural sleep that usually wakes them up groggy and needing the next prescription upper or Venti coffee to wake them from their stupor.

And then there are the people who take Ambien that think they fell asleep but instead enter a deep hypnotic state to sleep eat, sleep drive and walk off roofs and bridges to their deaths. But Sanofi and the FDA have a defense. They say the 26 Million people that take Ambien (and make billions for Sanofi) are fine with only .001% of them that can suffer the adverse effects.  Do the math-that's 26,000 people. In the twisted world of Big Pharma and the FDA they are called an "acceptable risk." Take them and multiply that by two or three or how many other persons they cause death and danger to when they crash their cars into them or damage their property, along with their families that suffer devastating emotional and financial consequences because of their Ambien Zombie behaviors, and what we have is a sedated nation just waiting for the next car accident or prescription drug death labelled a suicide.

We lost our greatest talents to prescription drugs-Elvis, Michael Jackson and even Tiger Woods rehabbed from Ambien and other pharmaceuticals. If this nation doesn't stop its sedation, we all lose. Right now,everyone's asleep at the wheel and nobody can do their job.  The SEC couldn't catch Madoff for 10 years, airport security misses bombs in socks and planes were able to crash our World Trade Towers, the Pentagon and in a Pennsylvania field.  None of that should have happened, and none of this Zombie nonsense should be going on.

You might not be taking Ambien, but think about your child, your spouse, your parent, your best friend who takes that Ambien and drives their car to their death or does not take Ambien but is a victim of an Ambien Zombie's sleep induced nightmare of driving a car into someone.
