If you need an employment contract negotiated or you have a problem at work and are not satisfied with your employer's response to your complaints, talk to SCL and she will give you an answer and a plan. The fear of losing your job or some sort of retaliation from your employer because you have a valid complaint should not hold you back from enforcing your rights. Most times SCL has been able to save employee jobs by intervening with a letter and mediating the dispute between the employer and employee. Other times drastic measures have been taken and SCL will file State and Federal law suits against employer's violating a person's civil rights or harassing someone because of their sex, age, race, religion, creed, color, sexual orientation or disability, including pregnancy.
